About the Course

This preparatory class can help participants answer exam questions more effectively related to the installation and testing of fiber optic and copper systems as well as safety aspects for work in the Interior (CA1C/CA1A/E07) and in the Exterior (CA2C/CA2A/E08) .

This Fiber Optic and Copper Efficiency Certificate is divided into four (4) types of certification which are :-

  • 1(C) – Customer Premises :

    • Optical Fiber – Installation, Splicing, Testing and Maintenance.

  • 2(C) – Network :

    • Optical Fiber – Aerial And Underground Installation, Splicing, Testing And Termination.

  • 1(A) – Customer Premises :

    • Copper Pairs – Installation, Splicing, Testing And Conditioning.

  • 2(A) – Network :

    • Copper Pairs – Aerial and Underground Installation, Connection, Testing and Maintenance In order to obtain the Fiber Optic (CA1C & CA2C) and Copper (CA1A & CA2A) Competency Certificates, participants are required to pass the TM Examination conducted online (Online) supervised by Telekom Malaysia (TM) side. The exam question format is in the form of Objectives which include theoretical questions such as installation, connection and testing of fiber optic and copper as well as workplace safety. The objective questions have as many as 50 questions and the passing percentage is 70% where the correct answer is 35 questions.

Has a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the National Energy University (UNITEN) and a Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) for the Radio Frequency Network Senior Technician program (EE-036-3) and Transmission Infrastructure Installation and Maintenance (EE-321-3:2012) ). Experienced in the Telecommunications Industry and skilled in various fields especially 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G, LTE, SDH, DWDM and Fiber Optics and has been involved as a Project Manager for several fiber optic and Radio Frequency installation and maintenance projects such as the UNIFI Project, TIME dotCom Project , Celcom Hammer Project, U-Mobile Multiband Project and Celcom Moran Project. In addition, he is also experienced in the field of Hybrid Power System for the telecommunications sector as a project manager in Myanmar for 2 years.
