About the Course

This preparatory class can help participants answer exam questions more effectively related to the installation and testing of fiber optic and copper systems as well as safety aspects for work in the Interior (CA1C/CA1A/E07) and in the Exterior (CA2C/CA2A/E08) .

This Fiber Optic and Copper Efficiency Certificate is divided into four (4) types of certification, namely :

  1. 1(C) – Customer Premises :Optical Fiber – Installation, Splicing, Testing and Maintenance.
  2. 2(C) – Networks :Optical Fibers – Aerial And Underground Installation, Splicing, Testing And Testing.
  3. 1(A) – Customer's Premises :Copper Pair – Installation, Connection, Testing And Commissioning.
  4. 2(A) – Networks :Copper Pairs – Aerial and Underground Installation, Connection, Testing and Decommissioning.

In order to obtain the Fiber Optic (CA1C & CA2C) and Copper (CA1A & CA2A) Certificates of Competence, participants are required to pass the TM Examination conducted online which is supervised by Telekom Malaysia (TM).

The exam question format is in the form of Objectives which include theoretical questions such as installation, connection and testing of fiber optic and copper as well as workplace safety.

The objective questions have as many as 50 questions and the passing percentage is 70% where the correct answer is 35 questions.

Copper Pair Internal Wiring (CA1A/E07) (RM 300)

Copper Pair External Wiring (CA2A/E08) (RM 300)

This course module includes :

  4. Main Cable
  5. Copper Cable Pulling Works in Mains
  6. PEUT-AC Cable Connection
  7. Gas Pressure Alarm System (GPA)

  9. Pole Fittings, Poles & Cable Pulling Equipment
  10. Grounding System

Qualifications and Recognition

Enables a skilled worker to get qualifications and recognition from Telekom Malaysia (TM) to do fiber optic and copper cable installation work in the interior and exterior.

Registered CIDB Field Code (10 CCD Points)

This Certificate of Competency can be used as a technical certificate for CIDB Grade G1 PPK, SPKK & PKK/STB application and registered under CIDB field code category,E07 (Internal Telecommunication System) and (External Telecommunication System).

Theoretical and Practical

Workers are skilled in learning theory and practical and deepening knowledge in the field of Fiber Optics and Copper.
